Terug na de zomervakantie met kunst!

Eric Joyner is an American artist based in San Francisco. He also collects robots, mid 20^th^ century Japanese tin robots, and some American toys, such as Rock'Em Sock'Em robots, which some of us may remember from childhood ("Knock his block off!"). Earlier in his career Joyner worked in the commercial art field, in illustration and animation, but around 2000 decided to become a gallery artist and paint what he liked: robots. In addition, though, he added donuts into many of his works, because, he said, he wanted something to "not make sense and (to) create a new world".

Adam Spizak

Kleurenblind is hij allerminst, de Poolse designer/digital illustrator Adam Spizak. En zijn oog voor detail is ook enorm. Je moet gewoon meer van zijn schilderijen en illustraties zien.

Light Bulbs by Pieke Bergmans

A series of unique crystal lamps by Pieke Bergmans, with Royal Leerdam Crystal and Solid Lighting.

You may wonder: What is a light blub?? The answer is simple: it is a light bulb that has gone way out of line. Infected by the dreaded Design Virus, these Blubs have taken on all kinds of forms and sizes you wouldn't expect from such well behaving and reliable little products. Nevertheless, they seem to be enjoying their new free existences. They can be found shining across Milan during the Salone Del Mobile 2008.

The Light Blubs are a series of crystal lamps, designed by Pieke Bergmans, in cooperation with Royal Crystal Leerdam. The lamps are all unique handcrafted crystal pieces, equipped with leds by Solid Lighting Design.

Angolo by Kazuhiro Yamanaka

“Host and Guest, sitting in a Japanese Tea Ceremony Room, place themselves where the axes of their bodies intersect diagonally. Trust arises by displaying the weak side of the body. We give Design a special place in a corner, and appreciate its beauty by turning our gaze toward it. The ANGOLO is based on this concept, the mutual relation of objects, and the aesthetic of the corner.” A series of different-sized modular cabinets that create arrangements – sculptures with an almost poetic look. Arrangements with a variety of different heights may be obtained by simply placing the modules on top of the base.
